Hot & Cold

Have a cold. A terrible horrible no good very bad cold. But today was pretty okay anyway.

Woke up and six of the housemates and I had brunch sitting down by the lake, our French colleague making us crepes thin as tissues spread thick with Nutella.

Went to the tailors to pick up my outfit for the International Day of the Woman march tomorrow. Me & the cashier & the cleaner & the laundress, we all have matching fabrics and we will walk together and I can’t wait.

J came over and we sat in front of the lake (which was blue and white today) and we talked about how beautiful it is, which never gets old. And then we decided we wanted to fly kites, so we looked up on Google how to make kites & we cut up plastic bags & sliced green twigs off a tree & taped & tied and then had beautiful kites.

Unfortunately there was no wind.

Next time.

any idea so as w the colour of the lake keeps changing?also at times there is some red matter in streaks and bands in the lake

The red bands??? Oh, those I think are pollution... I am not sure, but I always assume that is some sort of, um... sewage runoff, sadly. I don't know, though.

The rest of the colors -- I think it's just the magic of the lake. :o)

have u tried swimming in the lake?its pretty deep though.i tried initially but on insistence of docs stopped as they said there is some dangerous bacteria and also saw a cobra in the water

Yeah! I have a little blow-up raft so I've gone out in it a ton. The swimming is fun. The bacteria (mini-snail disease!) is bad but as long as you get tested for it, you're okay...

But a COBRA?! Oh my gosh, that's a bit creepy...
